exams are done. I’ll posting pics soon. I saw this video and i wanted to go there and learn all the stuff the people are doing. I had to turn 28 to realize that I actually enjoy learning.

Weihnachtsfieber

I have some serious christmassy fever at the moment. Today I went out shopping for some gifts to send out to loved ones. I really like that. What you see above is my decoration. I never decorate for christmas. The last time I decorated I was in my teens. But I found these old baubles in our local thrift store. They shine and are sprinkled with glitter…well, I had to have them. I don’t know what happens to me.

Last weekend my dear friend steffi fabulously ran my booth at the t-shirt-festival in Dresden while I was in the village presenting our school for day of the open door. It happens that I also appeared in a kind of newspaper on sunday.
. By the time this picture was taken I was on the edge, hence the funny expression on my face. Mediocre small town journalists are getting on my nervs quite heavy.

Ich weiß nicht, was heute los ist. Ich denke, am Ende hat mich doch das Weihnachtsfieber darniedergestreckt. Heute war ich eigentlich nur für meine Weihnachtspakete einkaufen. Ich habe mir nämlich überlegt, einige Überraschungen zu verschicken. Und zu basteln natürlich. Das gefällt mir doch sehr gut. Ich habe mich den ganzen Tag gefreut und mir überlegt, wie die entsprechenden Personen wohl reagieren werden. Was du oben siehst, ist meine Weihnachtsdeko. Ich dekoriere eigentlich nicht. Nie, um genau zu sein. Das letzte Mal hab ich sowas vielleicht als Teenie gemacht. Aber eigentlich kann ich mich nicht daran erinnern. Doch diese Kugeln habe ich heute in unserem Awo-Laden gefunden und ich musste sie haben. Sie glänzen und glitzern…tja. So bin ich halt.
Meine Freundin Steffi hat am Wochenende ganz fabulös meinen Stand beim T-shirt-Festival geschmissen, während ich in der kleinen Stadt hockte und unsere Schule am Tag der offenen Tür vertreten musste. Kein so gutes Timing. Aber dafür hab ich es auch in eine Art Zeitung geschafft, allerdings war ich zu dem Zeitpunkt, als dieses Foto entstand, schon leicht genervt von dem Reporter. Deshalb sieht das auch so komisch aus.

Is anyone up for a little trip?

Since I am a kid I love sci fi. Books, Movies and (almost) every tv show. Maybe because my mom is a trekkie to. But I always excited by the idea that there might be more.
And I still am.
I found this viedeo via northcoast zeitgeist. It is amazing. I do believe that I will see this in person one day.

Thereof independently I have a space-loving tutorial in the making.

Schon als ich ein kleines Kind war, habe ich Science fiction, ob als Buch, Film oder Serie, geliebt. Vielleicht habe ich mir das von meiner Mom abgeschaut, die auch ein Trekkie ist. Aber die Idee, dass da soviel Mehr ist hat mich einfach begeistert. Und das tut es auch immernoch. Genau wie dieses Video. Es ist unglaublich. Ich habe übrigens noch ein kleines Sternstunden-Tutorial in Planung.

Jewelry

Lately I like to make some jewelry. I try to use only stuff I have lying around. Well, since I had some exessive jewelrymaking phase some years ago, I still have a ton of stuff lying around. And I also try to minimize my belonings. but well…
I also used leather I recyceled from old jackets (my grandma gave me a jacket made of blue leather squares in different shades of blue that were – hold on – crocheted together…when was that en vougue??)

As you can see, I am going for bold right now…

In letzter Zeit bastle ich gern Schmuck. Und dabei versuche ich nur Materialien zu benutzen, die ich eh schon hier herumliegen habe. Da ich vor einigen Jahren schon einmal eine exzessive Schuckmachphase hatte, liegt hier noch ziemlich viel davon rum. Ausserdem versuche ich, wie schon seit Jahren, meine Besitztümer zu dezimieren. Aber naja…klappt irgendwie nicht so. Ich hab ausserdem Leder recycelt, aus alten Jacken zum Beispiel. (Meine Oma hat mir diesen Sommer (soviel zum Thema minimieren) eine Jacke gegeben, die aus Lederquadraten in verschiedenen Blautönen – jetzt kommts – zusammengehäkelt war!! Wann war denn das bitte Trend?)
